Read MoreThe Telecommunication and Digital Government Authority (TDRA) in the UAE is responsible for regulating the telecommunications sector and facilitating digital transformation in government entities. It ensures that the telecommunications sector complies with modern standards and embraces technological advancements, while also helping government bodies adapt to digital changes, aiming to provide smart, sustainable, and efficient technological solutions.
The Digital Government (DGOV) is a critical sector responsible for supporting and implementing the infrastructure and strategic initiatives necessary for the digital transformation of UAE government entities. It operates in alignment with the UAE Digital Government Strategy, playing a key role in advancing the digitalization of government services.
The aim of DGOV is centered around four pillars to enable digital transformation in the UAE: infrastructure, services (enablers and initiatives), policies, and building capabilities. Infrastructure focuses on building a robust digital framework. Services involve leveraging advanced technologies to enhance the digital economy and support business. Policies include the development and implementation of standards and regulations for digital governance. Building capabilities is about promoting digital awareness and competence within government entities and the broader community, ensuring effective adaptation to digital advancements.
DGOV aims to elevate the UAE's position in relevant international indexes, striving to secure the number one spot globally in online services, and to establish the UAE as the best digital government by the nation's centennial in 2071.
DGOV services and initiatives drive and enable digital transformation for individuals, businesses, and government entities in the UAE.
