Public Consultation on the End-of-service Benefits for Workers in the Private Sector

Objective and subject:

The UAE Government guarantees the right of national and expatriate workers in the private sector to an end-of-service gratuity, in accordance with the legislation regulating pensions and social security in force in the country. The objective is to ensure stability in the labour market and provide protections for all categories of workers, which, in turn, supports the UAE's competitive position as a leading country in the field of legislation and systems that support rights and duties between workers and employers.

The Ministry aims to collect and analyse customers' observations and suggestions about the process of providing protection to all categories of workers, in an effort to ensure implementation of and compliance with legislation.

Determining the level of awareness among national and expatriate workers in the labour market about the legislation regulating pensions and social security in force in the country.

Reviewing observations and suggestions about the process of providing protection to all categories of workers in the UAE labour market, and developing and upgrading the system's based on their opinions.
